| << Question #SG020 - Splotchy Legs - AHA Lotion I used a 15% AHA lotion on my legs from my derm. It was for the acne on my
face and back, so i thought it was safe for legs. Well i got these ugly dry fishnet lookin
lines all on my legs. I went back to her she said it was from taking hot baths. How was i
to know we had fewer oil glands on legs. It was safe for face back and chest. I feel so
mislead - OTC products have AHA's in them and they claim to beautify the skin. The
esteticians in her clinic said it was ok to use on other parts of body. My legs look bad
to me i need help to get rid of these ugly lines on legs. She gave me lachydrin 5. I just
want my legs back the appearance, how ever long it takes to work i will be patient.

#SG021 - Anti-wrinkle creams
I'm 20 and I wanted to do something to prevent wrinkles when
i'm older. I read in a magazine that it's good to start anti-wrinkle creams at a young
age, but then i also heard from other sources that it isn't. I was wondering what the
truth is. Right now i am using Neutrogena anti-wrinkle cream, and i would like to know if
continual use of this or any other anti-wrinkle creams will benefit me in the future. -

#SG023 - Floucinonide ointment use
It's a potent steroid (cortisone) and can supress the
immune system, and thins the skin when used long-term. It should be used with caution, and
you should be closely watched by the doctor if using for longer than 2 weeks. Side effects
may include: Acne-like eruptions, burning, dryness, excessive hair growth, infection of
the skin, irritation, itching, lack of skin color, prickly heat, skin inflammation, skin
loss or softening, stretch marks. If absorbed systemically over a long period of time
there can be serious problems. Read this... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluocinonide

skin all over my body, some are as big as regular moles and some are slightly seen,
there's no pain. I am worried that it might be a serious situation. Can you help? -

>> Answer
#SG023 - Skin - Red dots
Any skin rash should be checked out by a doctor. Very often
underlying disease processes will show up in the skin early on. Your "red dots"
are probably nothing to worry about, especially since it has been going on for years, but
wouldn't it ease your mind to hear a doctor tell you that, for sure?

#SG024 - Skin - Neck discoloration
i have had exzema. but i also have this weird
blackish-darkened area on my neck... actually around my neck. i hate it! i always like to
wear jackets and collars so they aren't that noticeable. i try to scrub it off when i take
a shower, but i get to the point of that it burns horridly! PLEASE help me figure out what
it is and how to cure it! thank you very much if you do! - holly
>> Answer
#SG024 - Skin - Neck discoloration
Stop scrubbing. The discoloration is pigment IN the skin.
It's not ON the skin, unless you have been wearing a brass neck chain! I suggest you use a
concealer make up base for awhile. This product will cover everything, including
tattoos & birthmarks. Stop scrubbing & stop wearing clothing around the neck. Then
see a dermatologist to find the reason behind it. It could be hormones, soap powder
residue in your clothing, etc. Try Skin Bleaching Cream if you do not have eczema on that area.

There are remarkable Laser treatments now available, but

#SG025 - Skin - Adult Acne
I have found a great way to get rid of pimples is by using
milk and ground nutmeg. It sounds crazy and stupid but works. What you do is take some
milk and rub it onto your face (where acne is) and yes, any kind of milk. Make sure it is
good and wet. Then take the nutmeg and just put all over your face over the milk. The milk
makes it stick and makes your skin smoother. Let that dry on your face for an hour. When
an hour is up (best before bedtime) go to a sink and brush the loose pieces of nutmeg off
of your face and keep the rest on. DON'T wash off. Then you can go to bed and in the
morning just wash it off. Continue this for a week. You should see a light result in one
day. The more you do it the better your face. In one week your pimples should be gone. But
remember. Keep it up! - Kenz

You are looking for an anti-perspirant, not a deodorant.
There is one that you apply at night and is recommended by surgeons that perform the ETS
