<< Question #WT001  Chin Fat

Hi, I have gained a few pounds lately (which I needed cause I was underweight) but some of the weight has gone to my neck, and when I smile and look down, I have this double chin. I am only 26 years old so it isn't like I am getting wrinkled to much yet. I was wondering if there was a makeup technique to disguise this or some sort of skin treatment to tighten this or even some exercise for my chin. Please help. I hate smiling in pictures now.  - Karen

>> Answer #WT001  Chin Fat

Karen - Makeup: use a base 2 shades darker than your skin tone, applying it only under the chin up to the underside of the jaw line, blending away at the jaw line. Creams to tighten skin may work if loose skin is the problem. Exercise to tighten the chin will work if loose muscles are to blame. The Profile Toner, a "sponge" ball is ideal for this, however loose skin or muscles is probably not to blame. Hormones regulate where fat will deposit on your body. By always being thin, you didn't know where "your fat" would deposit itself. Looks like you are a "chin" person. The remedy for this is liposuction.

LIPOSUCTION LIPOSUCTION LIPOSUCTION. When certain deposits of fat just won't go away no matter what, the ONLY solution is liposuction. See books on this subject in right column. - Editor

<< Question #WT003
Heavy Legs - Dress Shoes - Formal Shoes

i am quite chubby and i have fat legs. i always having difficulties to choose a pair of shoes. i mean a pair of  formal shoes. please help me out, girls out there!! - kuala

>> Question #WT003
Heavy Legs - Dress Shoes - Formal Shoes

Don't choose delicate shoes with high, narrow heels. Choose a wider heftier lower heel. Stay away from straps that cut into the skin and emphasizes the fat on the foot. And most important...choose colors closest to your skin tones. If you are light skinned, choose white, tan, pastels, light naturals. If you must choose a black or brown shoe, wear dark hose (good idea anyway-makes your legs look thinner), and choose a shoe that doesn't have so much "shoe" to it. This is where you would choose a shoe that is mostly "straps" and less shoe.

<< Question #WT004 - Butt Exercises - Reducing

If I do exercises for my butt, will I lose weight there? - Lowell

>> Answer #WT004 - Butt Exercises - Reducing

Unfortunately, no. You will tone, lift, and may even enlarge the butt muscles. There is no such thing as "spot reducing." You have to just plain lose weight all over. - Ed

<< Question #WT005 - Stairmaster - Bulky Leg muscles

Will working out on the stairmaster bulk or make my legs bigger? I workout on this machine 2-3 times a week for about 40 minutes, doing between 5-6 miles each workout on level 12 as my average. I try to average a 7 minute mile. On the other days, I take a kick boxing class, and jog 2 miles followed by 100 walking lunges. I don't want my legs to bulk as a result of doing the stairmaster, I just started this as part of my weekly workout about 2 months ago. - Kim

>> Answer #WT005 - Stairmaster - Bulky Leg muscles

A low resistance setting will give you an aerobic workout & will tone muscles. A high resistance setting will build muscle. - Ed

<< Question #WT006 - Flat Butt

I know this may sound weird but I have a really flat butt. How do I get it so it's not so flat? - Amanda

>> Answer #WT006 - Flat Butt

Noting weird about this. Tons of people have flat butts. If you can locate this out-of-print book, buy it!   "Callenetics" by Callan Pinckney "Callanetics - Deep muscle exercise for the perfect figure." Page 93 shows an excellent exercise that develops muscles in the butt that are never used, and most exercises don't include these muscles. (Video also available). So, you can shape your butt somewhat with the correct exercise, but implants for the buttocks are also available. When done well, the results are incredible and the incisions are invisible. The implants are not placed where you sit, but higher up, where it fills in the gap. They are not large implants, either. Unlike the breasts, it takes very little to make a difference. - Ed

<< Question #WT007 - Butt Enhancement

What can I do to get a butt like J-LO? - Bridgett

>> Answer #WT007 - Butt Enhancement

Same as above. A butt implant, or wear "falsies" (specially padded underwear). J-Lo's body structure is different than yours. Her butt muscles (gluteus maximus) are attached to the bone at a higher point than yours. Plus, she has a naturally larger muscle mass than you. So...your answer is implants. Implants are not inserted in the area where you sit. They are placed above that area. I've seen them done, and they really do look great.  - Ed

<< Question #WT008 - Walking for Weight Loss

I walk 5 miles every day...I need to lose about 30 lbs. How long before I see results and is 5 miles too many or not enough ??

>> Answer #WT008 - Walking for Weight Loss

There is no pat answer to this. It also depends on how active you are the rest of the day, and how much you eat, when you eat, and what you eat, among other things.

<< Question #WT009 - Walking for Weight Loss

At the moment I'm very chubby. And I'd like to lose weight quick (without seeking liposuction or surgical help) I walk at school a lot, And my leg muscles are really developed. However, my other body is fat. My diet is so-so. I eat what is given to me. And usually, when I'm not doing much anything, I'm reading, studying, or online. Any help?
- Asuri, Channelview

>> Answer #WT009 - Walking for Weight Loss

I think you answered you own question with your diet & sitting too much. Walking around school is good aerobic exercise, but you won't lose weight that way, especially if you aren't power walking for an hour straight. (Read the article above at WT008 - "Walking for Weight Loss???") There is no magic potion. If there were, you wouldn't see so many diet books, gurus, pills, gadgets, workout videos, memberships, etc. being sold daily. It takes a proper diet (what you eat as well as how much), and true daily exercise. Period. End of story. - Ed

<< Question #WT010 - Breast Enlargement Pills & Creams

I have been researching breast enlargement pills. I am just a little worried that they are not as safe as the internet and media makes them sound. Can they higher risk of Breast cancer? Please only answer if you really do know about this. Thanks!!! - Crystal, Austin

>> Answer #WT010 - Breast Enlargement Pills & Creams

Here is a FACT for you to consider: Breast creams & pills are either scams and don't work at all or use hormone derivatives (usually from plant sources). Those that use derived hormones work by elevating hormones, making the body think it is either going through puberty or is pregnant. Breast cancer and uterine cancer are both associated with elevated levels of estrogens. - Ed
