SKIN INFORMATION - Your skin is your body's largest organ. It measures
two square yards and is approximately 15 percent of your weight. Skin is the thickest on
your palms and the soles of your feet. The thinnest area of your skin is your eyelid. The
skin on your face is the only skin on your body that is attached to muscle.
DRY ROUGH HANDS - They say your hands get the driest and roughest in
warm weather when you begin activities like yard work, swimming and sunning. To help
prevent rough, dry hands in any weather, be sure to routinely massage your favorite hand
cream thoroughly into your hands and arms. Don't just rub on your cream. The massaging
action stimulates blood circulation throughout the hands and arms and promotes the
absorption of the conditioners of your cream into your skin. Apply your cream often,
especially after washing your hands or after submerging them in water.
NAILS AND CUTICLES - To maintain great looking natural nails, your
routine should include your favorite cuticle oil or creme and a nail strengthening
treatment. Hand and nail cremes soften hands, strengthen nails and condition cuticles all
in one step!
PROGESTERONE CREAM - Women find that this product has shown a marked
ability to offset the effects of estrogen dominance. Has the effect of raising libido and
improving sexual experience.
APPLICATION SECRET FOR SELF-TANNING CREAMS - Here is the secret to
applying your sunless self-tanning lotion smoothly and streak-free for that even looking
tan. Use a large makeup sponge and apply the cream onto your skin in small sections. This
is what gives you that natural looking tan without the sun and health risks and no
tell-tale streaks!
SENSITIVE SKIN - If you need to soothe sensitive skin, sprinkle a
little corn starch into your bath water. Works great!
SOFT AND FRAGRANT SKIN - A milk bath which will silken and scent your
skin is the ultimate! Add a handful of dry milk powder into your bath water and a dash of
perfumed oil or aromatherapy oil if you desire. Gently pat dry.
BLEMISHES - To help dry up or get the "RED" out of a blemish,
dab your blemish with a little bit of lemon juice a few times a day.
FACIAL WASH - Try a Milk Wash! Wash your face using a paste made out of
skim milk and water. Very different and you will love the results. Milk baths do wonders
for your skin, and that includes your face!
ARGININE - Have a partner taking Viagra or contemplating it? This
common amino acid is the precursor to nitric oxide. Viagra and other drugs block an enzyme
that limits nitric oxide in men that have erectile dysfunction. Arginine can raise levels
of nitric oxide naturally without the danger of drug side effects.
EXCELLENT OATMEAL FACIAL - Create a paste by mixing dry Quick Cook
Oatmeal with water. Spread mixture on your clean face avoiding the eye area. Put on your
favorite music, lay down, and relax while it dries. Rinse the mask off with warm water and
see how great your skin looks and feels!
OILY FACE - Here is a great toner for your oily skin right out of your
fruit basket. Grate a large apple, excluding the peel, and spread the gratings all over
your face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 15 minutes while listening to a
relaxing CD, then rinse off. Your skin gets a great refreshing look!
REDUCING PORES - Mash a tomato and apply the mash to a clean face,
avoiding the eye area. Leave the tomato on for 15 minutes, then rinse off. For a greater
effect, clean then steam your face to clean out your pores. Then apply the tomato mash
following the above instructions. Gently pat dry.
GENISTEINE Perfect Soy - Studies show that genisteine will allow women
who are in the early stages of menopause to avoid night sweats and hot flashes without
resorting to hormone drugs. The best results were achieved when used with evening primrose
oil.
MASK FOR DRY DEHYDRATED MATURE SKIN - This is an excellent mask for
dry, mature, dehydrated skin. Take one tablespoon of powdered milk and a teaspoon of
honey. Mix together with a little rosewater to make a paste. Apply the mixture to your
face, avoiding the eye area, and let it set for about 10 minutes. Gently rinse off with
warm water and pat dry.
BATH TIP - Don't spend more than ten minutes in a bath because it can
dehydrate your body skin. Your body will absorb lotions up to 10 minutes after leaving the
bath, so as soon as you get out of the bath, "massage" your favorite body lotion
all over your body!
REFRESH TIRED EYES - Keep a bottle of Witch Hazel in the refrigerator.
Saturate 2 cotton pads in the cold Witch Hazel. Squeeze out the excess and place on your
closed eyelids while soaking in the tub or reclining.
DRY SKIN IN THE DELICATE EYE AREA - After cleansing your face, with the
pads of your fingertips, gently press Castor Oil into the skin under the eye and around
the "crows feet" area. Blot any excess. It keeps your skin moist throughout the
whole day just like when you were young! It has the same consistency of the oil that
should naturally be around the eyes. It is also reputed to help the growth of eyelashes,
so at night, include the eyelashes. Many pharmacists keep Castor Oil behind the counter.
You may have to ask for it.
TIRED HOT SWOLLEN FEET - Massage your feet with raw slices of potato.
After the massage, relax with your legs raised for about 15-20 minutes while you let the
potato juice dry. Rinse away the dried juice with tepid water.
FRESH CLEAN SKIN LOOK - Something new to try for that "clean"
skin look - Cornbread Mix! Purchase a cornbread mix that only requires the addition of
water. Follow the instructions as if you are going to make cornbread, using just the
amount you will need to cover your face. Spread some mixture on your clean face, avoiding
the eye area. Let the mixture dry. Wash the mixture off with warm water and see how clean
your skin looks!
SOOTHING A SUNBURN - While in a cool-to-warm shower, step away from the
stream of water. Apply white vinegar on your skin and let it set for about a minute then
rinse off. Gently pat your skin with a soft towel. It helps take the sting out. Then apply
your favorite Aloe gel to the sunburned area and don't let the area dry out. If you can't
take a shower for awhile, then remove a cucumber from your refrigerator. Cut off the end
piece and peel back a portion. Run the cool cucumber around the sunburned areas to soothe
and cool down the burned skin. If you are severely sunburned you need to seek medical
attention.
BATHING TIPS - If you enjoy relaxing in a bath, it's best to bathe in
warm water no longer than 20 minutes, so as to not remove the moisture from your skin. If
you insist on a hot bath, it is recommended to bathe no longer than 10 minutes to help
prevent skin dehydration. Hot Baths 10 minutes. Warm Baths 20 minutes.
CONCEALER - Always apply concealer before applying your make-up base
(foundation). Apply by dabbing on trouble spots and blend well with your finger or make-up
sponge. Then gently apply your foundation over it.
DRY SKIN FACIAL MASK - Excellent mask for dry skin. First cleanse your
face. Then massage with your favorite nourishing cream. Gently tissue off the cream.
spread honey on your face, avoiding the eye area. Allow it to remain for ten minutes, then
gently remove the honey from your face with a damp towel.
FIRST AID - Every household should have some type of first aid kit, and
if you do not already have one, assemble your supplies now. Tailor the contents to fit
your family's particular needs. Don't add first aid supplies to the jumble of toothpaste
and cosmetics in the medicine cabinet. Instead, assemble them in a suitable, labeled box
(such as a fishing tackle box or small tool chest with hinged cover), so that everything
will be handy when needed. Label everything in the kit clearly, and indicate what it is
used for. If you have pets, create one for them, too.
BEAUTY CLAY - Make your own beauty clay facial masks. 1) Five teaspoons
Fuller's Earth and 3 teaspoons lemon juice, or Bentonite (clay) and water.
DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) - It takes DHEA several days or weeks to
build up to a level that steroid hormones such as testosterone can be elevated to youthful
levels. This slow but steady increase in DHEA has many advantages health-wise over using
testosterone boosters. Libido effects are noticed usually by the end of the first week.
<br> Don't forget, testosterone is important for women, too! Many problems of
peri-menopause, menopause and "hormone imbalances" can be due to estrogen
dominance with a low level of other hormones such as progesterone and testosterone. Loss
of libido is one of the most noticeable symptoms! DHEA may be the "drugless"
answer.
SKIN REMEDIES - Add 1/2 cups or more of baking soda to your bath water
to soften your skin, to soothe general skin irritations, and to relieve discomfort of
measles and chicken pox. Adding 2 tablespoons of baking soda to your baby's bath water
will help relieve diaper rash irritations. Apply a baking soda and water paste directly to
bee stings, rashes, poison ivy, sunburn and windburn to relieve discomfort. Insect bites -
use a poultice of baking soda and vinegar.
FACIAL - Scrub face and neck with soap in warm water, dry, spread milk
of magnesia over face and neck. Relax until it dries thoroughly. Spread another layer of
magnesia to dissolve the first layer, remove with a damp towel. Now heat some olive oil
and apply; let this remain for five minutes; use ice cold witch hazel to remove the excess
oil, leaving the skin fresh. Use twice a week. After a few treatments you will be amazed
at the transformation.
ANDROSTENEDIONE (andro-surge) - The fastest and most effective way to
increase libido is to increase testosterone levels. Sometimes only a short spike in
testosterone prior to sex is all that is needed to produce the necessary increase in
libido.
LONG HAIR AND SPLIT ENDS - To minimize split ends, when you shampoo
your hair, only shampoo the scalp and top one-third of your hair. Do not shampoo &
"scrub" the last two-thirds. As you rinse, allow the shampoo to "run down
and through" the last two-thirds of your hair to clean that portion. If you feel you
must shampoo the last two-thirds, be very gentle.
